Our highly trained team includes credentialed specialists in investments, qualified plans, fiduciary oversight, and financial planning. All team members were born and raised in Hawai‘i.  A local sensibility permeates the practice which leads to a better understanding of our clients' needs and objectives.

Peter Tsukazaki, AIFA®, QPFC®

Managing Partner

Peter is the Managing Partner of Tsukazaki & Associates, LLC. He has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. The Center for Fiduciary Studies is associated with the University of Pittsburgh's Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, Center for Executive Education, which is ranked among the top executive education programs in the nation. AIFA® certificants are qualified to perform plan assessments and fee audits.

Peter was one of the first financial consultants in the nation to receive the Qualified Plan Financial Consultant® (QPFC®) designation from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). The QPFC® designation is highly exclusive and respected and considered the gold standard for consultants in the qualified plan field. Peter remains the only consultant in Hawai‘i with this designation. He is a FINRA Series 7 and 63 Registered Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, Member FINRA, and life and health licensed.

Bradley Araki, AIF®, CFP®

Partner & Director, Client Services

Brad is a Partner and the Director of Client Services of Tsukazaki & Associates, LLC.  He received the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certificate in 2007 and earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. Brad provides both support and expertise to the firm’s clients with his broad knowledge base. He excelled in his undergraduate work as a FISH University of Hawai‘i, Shidler College of Business Administration scholarship recipient and was a founding member of the exclusive Business Executive Society of Tomorrow (BEST) student organization.

Brad has been an active in the community serving in volunteer management roles for various non-profit organizations. He is a FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 Registered Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, Member FINRA, and life and health licensed.

Derwin Osada, AIF®, CFA®

Partner & Director, Investments

Derwin is a Partner and the Director of Investments of Tsukzaki & Associates, LLC. He has been a steward of billions in assets over his career as a manager for various equity, taxable fixed income, and municipal bond portfolios. He previously managed a diversified institutional portfolio where he supervised all trading, analysis, and operations. 

Previously, Derwin worked with high-net worth households, institutional, and corporate entities developing investment strategies to meet their short- and long-term goals. Currently, Derwin supports our consulting team by performing institutional investment analysis, providing valuable strategic input, and preparing our current economic outlook.

Derwin is designated a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®), the most widely respected and recognized credential in the investment industry. Derwin has also earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. He is a FINRA Series 7 and 63 Registered Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, Member FINRA.

Reid Hokama, AIF®

Director, Research

Reid Hokama is the Director of Research for Tsukazaki & Associates, LLC. Reid brings a strong investment background, having experience at Lehman Brothers, Bank of Hawaii, Aetos Capital, and Wellington Management. He has worked with a variety of asset classes including equities, fixed income, hedge funds, fund of hedge funds, private equity, and real assets. Operationally, he has worked in research, trading, portfolio management and, most recently, relationship management. Clients included multinational mutual fund complexes, sovereign wealth funds, foreign governmental agencies, endowments, foundations, and trusts.

Reid has an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He is a FINRA Series 7 and 66 Registered Staff Member affiliated with Commonwealth Financial Network®. Reid has also earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies.

Cody Momohara, AIF®, CFP®

Director, Participant Services

Cody is the Director of Participant Services for Tsukazaki & Associates, LLC. Cody attended the University of Hawai‘i where he excelled both academically and professionally as former president of the Business Executive Society of Tomorrow (BEST).

Cody is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, one of the most recognized and distinguished credentials in the financial planning field. He also earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. He is a FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 Registered Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, Member FINRA.

Yvonne Warren, CPFA

Participant Services Specialist

Yvonne is a Participant Services Specialist for Tsukazaki & Associates, LLC. She is a FINRA Series 7 and 66 Registered Staff Member of Commonwealth Financial Network®, Member FINRA. She is also a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA), which she earned through the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA). 

Scott Tonai, AIF®

Participant Services Specialist

Scott Tonai is a Participant Services Specialist for Tsukazaki & Associates, LLC. Scott graduated from the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa with a double major in finance and marketing. In college, he served as president of the Business Executive Society of Tomorrow (BEST) and received the Dean's Service Award for his commitment to the school and colleagues.

Scott's previous work experience with local and mainland businesses provides a solid foundation for participant support. He is a FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 Registered Staff Member affiliated with Commonwealth Financial Network®. Scott is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), which he earned through the Center of Fiduciary Studies.

Shelley Ching

Client Services

Integral to the success of the team, Shelley keeps the office running smoothly and efficiently. A diligent and organized taskmaster, she coordinates trustee and participant meetings, oversees the virtual document management system, and handles overall administrative workflow.
